MaineCoon Pride is a small maine coon cat breeder that specializes in purebred, pedigreed maine coon kittens that come from grand and world champion European bloodlines. Our cats and their kittens tend to have classic European features that produce a more “feral” or wild, exotic appearance. In the European lines, you may see larger ears with longer ear tufts and lynx tips, plus high cheekbones, big, square muzzles, and longer bushy tails.
At MaineCoon Pride, all our cats are purebred maine coons and live in our home as part of our family in Marietta, Georgia. Our breeding is designed to produce healthy maine coon kittens with friendly, playful personalities. Each of our Kings and Queens are carefully selected from pedigree lines with a solid history of excellent health and wellness, preserving the quality of the breed and our standards in maintaining a strong lineage.
MaineCoon Pride's cattery with all maine coon kings, queens, and kittens are registered with TICA (The International Cat Association). This is the world's largest registry of pedigree and domestic cats, and you will find MaineCoon Pride listed as a certified maine coon breeder when you visit TICA online.
MaineCoon Pride cattery and our breeding program operates under the love, care and management of Natalia Driver, a certified felinologist through the WCF (World Cat Federation) based in Europe. Natalia uses her knowledge in the genetics and physiology of cats to help produce healthy, happy kittens and to advance the maine coon breed.
The Maine Coon is the largest domesticated cat breed and one of the most popular breeds in the United States. With their large physical size and sociable personality, maine coons are known as the "gentle giants." Their physical characteristics usually include a prominent ruff along their chest (resembling a lion’s mane), with an uneven, two-layer coat, a robust bone structure, rectangular body shape, longer ears with "lynx" tufts, and a long, bushy tail. Like the adult cats, you'll find maine coon kittens are also larger in size taking four years to reach full maturity.
Maine Coons are known for their above-average intelligence and are often noted as having "dog-like" qualities, making them easier to train and showing great loyalty to their family. Their gentle disposition makes them comfortable and relaxed around dogs, other cats, and children. But even with Maine Coons’ affectionate nature, they are still independent and not clingy. They tend to be playful throughout their lives and are known for being very vocal cats with frequent trilling, chirping, or yowling as they say "hello" and communicate lovingly with their pet parents. Even very young maine coon kittens are highly intelligent, learning how to use the litter box within a few weeks old and understanding how to make great friends in just a few seconds.
