Finding the special maine coon kitten that you want to bring home and share your life with is a great start to the adoption process. At MaineCoon Pride, we strive to make the process as easy as possible for you and your precious new kitten.
The Adoption fee for most of our wonderful Maine Coon kittens usually ranges from $2200.00 and up, which includes two sets of vaccinations and deworming. Also, with your new kitten you will receive a new home welcome package.
To begin the Adoption process at MaineCoon Pride, you can find our available maine coon kittens shown on our "Kittens" page. Since our reservation process is a first-come, first-served basis, please call or email us to confirm availability. After that, you can find our Adoption Application by clicking the button below or going to the "Application" page.
In the Application, please fill in your contact information and answer a few questions related to adopting a new kitten. And if there is a kitten that you are interested in adopting, please include their name in the application, and send the completed application to Natalia@mainecoonpride.com.
Your application will be reviewed as soon as we receive it. Once your application is accepted, we will contact you and send you an Adoption Reservation Agreement to review, sign and send back to MaineCoon Pride with a $300 deposit. The deposit is non-refundable and goes toward the total payment of the adoption fee.
Our kittens may be released to their new adoptive parents between the age of 12 to 16 weeks, which is determined by MaineCoon Pride, and parents with a reserved kitten will be notified to set an appointment for their pick-up date. But, full payment of the adoption fee must be received before or by the kitten pick up date before the kitten can released from the cattery. (If you need your kitten delivered to you, we will be happy to do that, but there will be additional costs that will be determined by location and the necessary arrangements.)
1. Application - Download and fill out an application for adoption. (You will find it at the bottom of this page or also at the top of the "Application" page.) Then, email it to Natalia@mainecoonpride.com.
2. Adoption Reservation Agreement - After the application, you will receive an Adoption Reservation Agreement that reserves your precious new kitten. It should be reviewed, signed, and returned to MaineCoon Pride with a $300 deposit.
3. Completing Your Adoption - Prepare for the arrival of your new kitten by paying the remaining balance of the adoption fee before or at the time of pick up, and arranging the pick up date or delivery.
MaineCoon Pride is a closed cattery, which means that we do not allow visitors in our home before it is time to pick up your new kitten. This is for the health of your kitten as well as others. During the time that your kitten is reserved for adoption, we will stay in touch, sending you photos and videos showing how your kitten is growing, playing and interacting with others.
Plan to pick up your kitten on the date you have set a pick-up appointment with MaineCoon Pride, or contact us to adjust the appointment if necessary. If a kitten is not picked up at the appointed time and we are unable to contact the adopter or receive a response, the Adoption Reservation Agreement is determined void, the deposit is not refunded, and the kitten will be available for adoption by another family.
Do not send a deposit without application approval and please do not send cash in the mail. We will not be responsible for money that is sent prior to the confirmation of an adoption application, nor will we be responsible for cash that is sent through the mail or by any private carrier.
